About The Author

Ellis Spruell is the son of Amos and Eloise Spruell. He was born in the Township of Bethel, N.C., but grew up in the City of Baltimore, Maryland. Ellis stated "my parents were good parents, but I was hard headed as a child, and made some wrong turns that almost cost me my life." Ellis heard his calling when he was in the hospital and stated "God came to me and said, you can leave this hospital if you will leave as one of my soldiers." Today Ellis is a soldier for God and is in the army of the Lord marching to meet him one day around the throne. Ellis was inspired to create and write poems. Click on poems to view a sampling.
